Announcement: 2009 Event Planning meeting

Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a festive Thanksgiving Holiday. 2008 is certainly a challenging year for all of us, and we all have many things to be thankful for. Good thing is, friends and family will always be there through the good and the bad, and as long as we are optimistic and continue to put our best foot forward, everything will be better.

2009 is just around the corner, and as the last event to wrap up the eventful 2008, the event planning meeting is going to take place on 12/3 Wednesday evening. We’ll fill our happy hour and event calendars for 2009 and we’ll need your suggestions and support. If you cannot come out to the event planning, please let me know if you have any suggestion for the events you would like to participate, or put your name down for a host for any month of 2009’s Happy Hour.

What is in store for 2009? For starters, we are in talk of having joint happy hours with UCLA, UCSD, UPenn, UIUC (University of Illinois Urbana Champagne), and speaker series with the Alumni House. So don’t be shy and come out to see your friends and catch up here at SBYB.
