In the spirit of upcoming Beijing Olympic game, Ni Hao (hello) everyone! I hope you’re all having a blast in the summer and I’m sure you all missed my emails for the past month, ha ha. I have a couple of announcements besides the event info, so be sure you read the entire email!
This is a very overdue email about this Friday’s happy hour, which Alice has gladly taken over as the host. We’ll all be glad to welcome Alice and Geoff back to our events/happy hours as they wrapped up the seemingly endless vacations/ family gatherings.
Summer is not complete until you get to go to a beach, and that’s what we’re striving to accomplish here at SBYB! We’re going to Santa Cruz Boardwalk for a fun day stroll around the beach/ beach volleyball/ anything goes. Christopher Frey and I will be hosting the event and we are taking indication of interest for arranging car pool, so be sure to let me know so I can arrange the cars needed for carpooling by Wednesday 8/20.

For October’s event, we’re going to the homecoming game with Cal vs. Arizona. The group ticket is $34, a really great deal compared to regular single game ticket of >$50.. and Carpool can be arranged. We are taking indication of interest on a rolling basis but will need to get 20 people in order to get the group ticket. So please let me know as soon as you can. Also, this year they are also celebrating 5 year reunion for class of 2003, so all of you 2003-ers might also consider joining the awesome festivity.
Last but not the least… we have a new blog style website! For user friendliness (and also for me to update), we have moved to http://southbayyoungblues.blogspot.com/ I will stat the initiative of adding current email list I have to the subscribing list, which will send out updates automatically. You will get a confirmation e-mail. Note: You will need to click on the “confirm” in order to receive future updates.
